Frances is 70 years old and has faced significant challenges since losing her husband in 2015. He was the handyman of the family and took care of the repairs around their home. Since his passing, Frances has struggled to keep up with the maintenance she can no longer manage on her own.
Over the years, hurricanes and ice storms have caused damage to her aging roof, which is now in desperate need of replacement. The ongoing roof damage has allowed rainwater into the home, resulting in interior water damage and mold that are now affecting Frances’s health.
At her age and while dealing with health challenges, Frances simply does not have the resources to take on such a major repair. A new roof would provide her with a safe, dry home and much-needed peace of mind.
This nomination is an opportunity to help Frances after years of doing her best on her own and give her the support she desperately needs.
