NORTHEAST VOTING

Bernadette H.
Binghamton, NY
Bernadette has spent her life caring for others. For 16 years, she served as a Direct Care Counselor at Cerebral Palsy of New York State (now Partners Unlimited LLC), supporting adults with physical and mental challenges. Her work included G-tube feedings, insulin administration, and medication management—always delivered with compassion and dedication.
She was more than a caregiver—she was a steady, loving presence to those who needed it most.
Now retired, Bernadette recently purchased a home where she hoped to enjoy her golden years in peace. But soon after moving in, she learned that the roof—though still intact—is too old to qualify for insurance. Replacing it is more than she can afford, and the stress is overwhelming.
A new roof would do more than restore her home. It would restore her sense of security, ease her burden, and allow her to enjoy retirement as she deserves—without fear, without worry.
By covering Bernadette, we’re not just fixing a roof—we’re helping someone who spent her life lifting others finally feel supported herself.

Mt Liberty Church
1366 Mt. Liberty Hill Road, WV
Mt. Liberty Church has stood as a spiritual home for its community for 126 years. This cherished family church has been lovingly maintained by generations of members — painted, patched, and preserved with care. However, after more than a century, the roof has never been replaced and is now showing signs of serious deterioration.
As time passes, the aging building has become more difficult to care for, especially for the older congregation members who have kept it going all these years. With limited resources and rising maintenance needs, the church community is struggling to preserve this historic structure.
A new roof would not only protect the building from further damage and costly repairs, but also honor the generations who have worshiped and gathered within its walls. It would ensure that future families can continue to call Mt. Liberty their spiritual home.
The congregation is grateful for the opportunity to once again be considered for Covers 4 Others and hopes to see this beloved church receive the care it needs to continue serving the community.
