MOUNTAIN VOTING

Charles and Diann K.
Arvada, CO

Charles and Diann have been happily married for 58 years, building a life centered on love, family, and faith. Together they’ve raised two children, and their legacy now includes five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who mean the world to them.

Charles is a proud Vietnam veteran who served our country for three years and is now 100% disabled through the Army. Despite his own challenges, he’s always been the first to offer help—especially to family and friends.

Diann has faced her own health battles, including a mini-stroke and heart attack just last year. She continues to recover with strength and grace, remaining a constant source of love and support for her family.

Their roof, now over 20 years old, is in serious need of replacement. But with health concerns and physical limitations, taking on a project of this size is simply beyond their reach.

A new roof would provide much-needed peace of mind for Charles and Diann—offering safety, stability, and comfort in a time when they need it most.

James and Kelley L.
Artesia, NM

James & Kelly L. were nominated for Covers 4 Others because of their lifelong dedication to service, family, and community.

James is a proud U.S. Army veteran who served in Panama, Iraq, and Mexico. Even before his military career, he was no stranger to hard work, building homes while still in high school. After his time in the Army, James continued to serve by becoming a police officer and now works as a patrol sergeant. He’s the kind of person who never backs down from a challenge, and all the work on their family home has been done by his own hands.

Kelly, his wife, is a former speech pathologist who now devotes her time to what James calls “the hardest job” , and we agree, being a stay-at-home mom. They met in 2013, through her work with his niece, and together they’ve built a life centered around their four children.
With a growing family and a roof in need of replacement, James and

Kelly remain grounded in gratitude, never asking for help, but always willing to give it. Covers 4 Others is honored to share their story and recognize the strength, humility, and love that defines their household.
