SOUTH CENTRAL VOTING

Julie & Steve F.
Garfield, AR

Julie and Steve are the kind of neighbors everyone hopes to have—faithful, generous, and always willing to lend a hand. They love the Lord, serve faithfully in their church, and live out their values by showing up for others whenever there’s a need. Now, they’re the ones in need.

Their roof has aged to the point that their insurance company is refusing to cover any future damage unless it’s replaced. Unfortunately, their policy won’t help with the cost of the new roof, leaving them in a difficult position: either come up with the full cost themselves or risk losing all coverage for their home.

Julie and Steve have poured their lives into serving others—it’s simply who they are. A new roof would give them the protection their home needs and the peace of mind they deserve.

Ruth A.
Tontitown, AR

At 63 years old, Ruth has faced unimaginable loss and continues to stand strong—for her family. On September 11th, 2020, she lost her husband to cancer. Not long after, her daughter passed away, leaving behind her 8-year-old grandson. Today, she is raising him on her own.

Living with a disability and on a fixed income, she is doing everything in her power to provide a safe and loving home. Despite the hardships, she and her grandson share a special bond and bring comfort and joy to each other’s lives. Their days are filled with love, resilience, and a quiet strength born from all they’ve endured together. But their home—like so many—needs critical repairs, and the roof is among the biggest concerns.

Keeping up with home maintenance has been difficult, especially with financial constraints and the responsibilities of full-time caregiving.

Being selected as a finalist for the Covers 4 Others program is more than a chance at a new roof—it's a chance to relieve some of the weight she’s been carrying and bring peace of mind to a grandmother who’s sacrificed so much.

We are honored to share her story and recognize the strength, love, and perseverance she continues to show every single day.

Vicky F.
Bentonville, AR

Vicky F. purchased her home in 2013, determined to create a safe and stable environment for her family. As a single mother, she’s done everything she can to care for her home and children, but life hasn’t been easy. Over the years, severe wind damage has taken a toll on her roof, and working with insurance has brought more frustration than relief.

Vicky also faces medical challenges that make the financial burden of home repairs even heavier. Despite it all, she remains strong, grounded in her love for her family and her home. Her son, recognizing everything she’s done and continues to do, nominated her for the Covers 4 Others program.

This roof isn’t just about shingles and repairs—it’s about restoring peace of mind for a mother who’s given her all.
